![]() Dec-2023 Superbum |
PDS S135 Black Label Superbum
Superbum was too impressive to be a steer, but too closely related to most of our herd to work, so we were very happy to see him go to a Dexter breeder to 'beef up' their calves. He was a full brother to Quintessence and Rain Lover and a half brother to Ristretto and Tails.

TLC Y030 Barregowa Lochinvar
Our foundation bull, Lochie was a handsome gentleman who was easy to handle and had a lovely nature which was passed on to his calves. He was an excellent 'beef' bull, siring steers who did well at market from approx. 18 months on grass. His Black Label progeny included Hazel, Holly, Jubilation, Jezebel, Justine, Karnival, Karen, Kassia, Leilani, Libation and Magic. Three of Lochie's 2011 steer calves won their class (pen of three commercial steers between 12-24 months) in SRPG's On Farm Challenge in 2013 and three of his 2012 steer calves came third in their class (pen of three commercial steers between 12-24 months) in the 2014 On Farm Challenge.
