Foundation cows

Following is information about our foundation cows.  Information about Black Label cows and heifers is also available.

Glamour was one of a group of heifers purchased in January 2013.  She rarely looked pregnant in comparison to some of the other cows, but every year, she produced another excellent calf.

Her Black Label progeny included Jezebel, Magic, Quidditch and Tabitha.

Groovy last gave birth to a calf by Ristretto.  Previous calves include Karen, Leilani, Prudence and Tallulah.

Groovy is a half sister to Nova.

 2nd at Royal Geelong Show 2012 - Heifer 8-20 months
 2nd in SRPG On Farm Challenge 2014 - Registered Female over 24 months and less than 5 years
 3rd in SRPG On Farm Challenge 2018 - Registered Female over 5 years

Glee last gave birth to Black Label Ulanee.  Previous calves include Lucky, Nymph, Playboy and QTee.

 2nd in SRPG On Farm Challenge 2013 - Registered Female 12-24 months.  Glee received the third highest score of nearly 100 entries in the Challenge.

Fairley was one of a group of heifers purchased in January 2013.  She was a full sister to Gambler.

Her Black Label progeny included Justine and Phyllida.

Fleur was one of a group of heifers purchased in January 2013.  She was always one of the first cows to come when called.

Her Black Label progeny included Papillion and Que.

Fern was one of a group of heifers purchased in January 2013.  She was a lovely cow, long and deep bodied.

Fern was also leased out to participate in an international embryo collection program for another breeder.

Her Black Label progeny included Kasino, Ludo, Ristretto, Sewda and Undurra.

 2nd in SRPG On Farm Challenge 2013 - Registered Female 2-5 years

Valencia was one of the original registered cows purchased in Dec-2011.  She was always very protective of her calves.

Her progeny included Groovy and Black Label Nova.

Dam: Elandra Park Valentine

Comtesse was one of the original registered cows purchased in Dec-2011.  She gave us some excellent steers, including one by Lochinvar which came third in the people's visual choice and fifth in the taste test at Noorat Show's 2015 Eating Quality competition.

Her progeny included Glee.

Celebration was one of the original registered cows purchased in Dec-2011.  Her influence in our herd is mainly through her son, Gambler.

Her progeny included Fairley, Gambler, Black Label Jubilation, Black Label Karnival, Black Label Libation and Black Label Question.
